There are many wonderful men who are a "father" even when they don't have to be.

And then there are many pizza and wing lovers.

I always get excited to create cookies for people wanting to show their LOVE for another.

Simple acts of kindness show love.

Words show love.

Cookies show love.

Make sure it comes from the heart.

Thinking Process and Holidays

 I can't believe I haven't updated this blog since October!!!!

Every year, 

When thinking about what I want to offer customers, 

I try to pick designs that compliment each other as well as add a festive variety to any package.

Ive also learned that full size cookies (3-3.5 in my book) aren't always necessary when there are going to be a variety of other sweet treats at an event.

This year I went with what I consider "medium" cookies and they're just a bit bigger than an Oreo cookie. 

It allows people to grab a delicious decorated cookie without making them feel stuffed with a full size cookie. 

It also leaves room for other yummy desserts.

   

 Some customers prefer plain, un-iced cookies.

Simple yet delicious.  

 These are the "medium" cookies I mentioned.

bigger than a bite size but smaller than a regular!

 The above cookies are what I consider "minis".

They are 1.5-1.75 inch cookies.

These are perfect for "giving"!

 And of course, my two favorite things!

Mason jars and minis!

Win/win!

Cookie Dunkers!

Many people say they love to dunk my cookies in coffee or milk. 

Personally, I've never tried it but it got me thinking. 

I had this idea.

How about a long rectangle cutter 

so I can make cookies that are great for dunking 

in milk 

or coffee 

or hot cocoa

or Pepsi.

Of course, Truly Mad Plastics came to the rescue.

Here it is.  

 

Then it was time to package these dunkers.

I LOVE the packaging.  

These boxes are from BRP Boxes and they are perfect!

The above box is for a 16 year old girl just starting the fight of her life.

Cancer.

CRAYONS=HAPPINESS

One of my favorite shapes to make is a CRAYON.

To me, they just create  happiness.

These are mini cookies so 1 dz fit perfectly in this clear box.

All ready for school.

I used the same crayon cutter from above to "stamp" a border on this very large cookie.

I also used a pencil.  

Packaging Cookies

 I'm not sure if I like packaging products 

or cute cookies more.

Probably the packaging. 

Spring Garden

This week was like a "spring garden". 

I had a variety of orders to do, each one unique.

Wedding.

Teen birthday.

Celebration of life.

Baby shower x 2.

I think ALL of my creative needs were met this week.

Have I told you how much I LOVE my job?

I do.

RED

When  a customers asks for the color RED,

I try to sneak it in with small bits.

The packaging, the minor details, or a little bit on a cookie.

It is my least favorite color because it's unpredictable sometimes.

And sometimes it adds a bit of "bitter" when used in large areas.

I like red for a scarf, or some empowering shoes--

just not cookies.

Green and Pink

A cute little birthday set for a gal turning 40.

Green and pink remain my top color combo.

Chilly Mornings-SIMPLE Holiday Season

The morning are becoming a bit chilly here in Arizona.

It's hard to get out of bed.

Hot cocoa with lots of marshmallows.

A light sweater in the morning.

The holidays are around the corner.

These SIMPLE winter-y cookies remind me that this year 

I want to keep this holiday season simple.

I want to enjoy the season.

I'm not taking on too many orders because I want to leave room for 

FAMILY BAKING.
