Letters
I have a thing for words and letters.
I think words have so much power and meaning.
I also think the font you choose for a project really sets the tone.
so...
I ABSOLUTELY love letter cookie cutters.
My favorite font is called 'typewriter'.
I am in love with this new letter set from Cakes by Ximena (online)
I have a feeling I'm going to get a lot of use out of these cutters!

Not Just ANY Box
I love these little birds.
They remind me of
a few ladies getting together for some "chit-chat", and laughs.
My favorite part of creating for others is when I put it all together in a box.
Not just any box, a window box!
I think it's really important to put effort into the presentation of your product.
Below is a window box from BRP Box Shop.
It's the perfect size for a dozen regular size cookies
OR
about 18 mini favors
OR
any other sweet treat!
Add your label, tie on a pretty bow, and it's uniquely YOURS!
Then watch your customers face as you hand over the box--PERFECT!
They instantly see the sweet creation!
Here's a picture of this same size box in KRAFT color used for mini favors.

From My Kitchen to Theirs
These are for a group of tweens going on a scavenger hunt at the mall
to celebrate a birthday.
How FUN is that?
Tweens at a mall!
For sweet Autumn turning 8!
One of the activities at her birthday party will be decorating cookies!
I'm so impressed!
(I'll post later about that)

Little Birdies
These are for a very sweet mom celebrating her birthday.
Recently, I've had the opportunity to drop off cookies to her house quite a few times.
Birthday.
Birthday.
Graduation.
Just because.
Birthday.
Birthday.
Graduation.
Just because.
When her kids come to the door,
they are the SWEETEST, KINDEST kids and they warm my heart.
Every time!
They remind me of little birdies, enjoying the safety of their nest and each other.
So when I got an order for her birthday cookies,
it took a few days to come up with the vision.
Then I thought about her kids, and how they remind me of little birdies.
The quilt came to mind because they are moving (military)
and wherever they go,
they add a little patch of love to their "life quilt".
When I dropped the cookies off this morning,
she told me shoe LOVES quilts.
Wow.
Must've been a God thing.

Safe travels.

GO Outside
Today is a beautiful day in Arizona.
The temperature is below 90 degrees.
It's time to go outside.
Many people (aka "snowbirds") come to Arizona around this time of year.
And they golf--a lot!
These are for a guy who just will be might be turning 50.

Fighter
As a mom, I know when my kids have a simple cold or headache,
I just want it to go away.
I have been known to let my girls sleep with me
if they have a headache
just so I can make sure it's just a headache
and
they're breathing all night!
Crazy but.... I'm a mom!
These cookies are for a mom who is fighting a fight for her child.
She will never give up!
She also has a higher power who holds her hand.
He is a fighter too!
PS-For this order, I had the freedom to create from MY heart.
No rules, no boundries. (my favorite kind of order!)
I prayed and I kept envisioning WORDS that remind me of a mom.
It all came together.
When I took the box outside at 6:30 this morning to get a quick picture,
there must have been at least 5 birds sitting in my tree just singing their hearts out!
They haven't done that ever!
Sometimes I hear one just "making noises" but not singing!
I know I heard them carrying a tune!
I froze because I felt like they were singing for these cookies.
I had their approval!
It was just one of those Godly moments that I'll never forget.
