Color Choice

The color applied to a set of cookies can make all the difference in the world.
The first set was for a little girl turning two.
The theme was UNDER THE SEA and the color palette was calm, soft colors.

This set was for a sweet girl turning two as well.
Their theme was THE LITTLE MERMAID and their color palette
was bold, bright colors.

So pretty much the same shapes
just different colors.

Places to Go

I'm a simple gal really.
But I do want to go to a few places.

The beach.
Any beach.
I just love the feeling of being at the edge of land.

The New England area.
So many things to see.
So many places to eat.
So many places to shop.
Very different than Arizona.
The cookies below were going to be taken to the New England area.

Paris.
Need I say more?
I want to take my girls with me.
Someday!
The cookies below will be shared during  a long airplane ride to Paris!

Candles and Cookies

Every now and then,
I know people will be eating birthday cookies
poolside,
in the forest on a camping trip,
on the beach,
or at a park.
So I decided to add a candle and some matches.
The location of the party should not exclude
anyone from blowing out some birthday candles!

2.5

As of today, my girls have 2.5 days left of school.
We LOVE summer around here!
We don't do any "big" stuff
but lots of little stuff.
Library. Movies. Bowling. Swimming. Sleep in.  Crafts. Shopping new stores.
BBQ-ing. A day trip up north.
F-U-N!

Tool of the Trade--KopyKake Projector

Some weeks are busy cookie decorating weeks.
This week was a BUSY week.
As I was cleaning up my craft room today,
I came across all of these.

These are the images I used in some form or another with my Kopy Kake Projector.

I realized just how much
I rely on my KK.
It's a tool--a very useful tool for me!
Have a great weekend!

This is some of what left my house today.

Girlie, Cowboy, Beach

Here's whats happening in my neck of the woods today.

Baby shower favors for a sweet momma and her soon-to-be baby girl.
The theme of this shower is
pink, green, and orange with white polka dots.

These are for a wedding rehearsal dinner with a western theme.
This centerpiece/bouquet and tray of minis will be on the dessert table.
I LOVE decorating minis!
Guess how many minis are on the platter below???

Answer: 8 dozen minis!

These are for a BEACH LOVIN' guy turning 50!
He's loved by all!

That's all she wrote!
Until next time!

Feeling Crabby?

If you're ever feeling crabby---
Get your lipstick on and get to your hairdresser quick!
A little bit of color and a freshen up of your "do"
That should do the trick!
It works for me!

Favorite Place

One of my favorite places is the beach.
As I sit there, I always feel an overwhelming awe knowing that
GOD created all of the surrounding beauty.
water
sand
creatures
seashells
rocks
sounds
unknown
AMAZING!

I hope to get there soon!

Special Request

I have a customer who had a "special request".
DETAILS:
1-Two children will be celebrating their birthdays together.

2-Both of them will be turning six.

3-They wanted the cake to represent where they'll be going for their birthdays.

They couldn't find the exact cake they wanted at a local store so they asked if I could make them some "cake toppers" to stick on top of a cake---OF COURSE I CAN!

Can you guess where both families will be going this summer?

CLUES:

GIVE UP?

Lego Land and the beach!

*They bought a cake at the grocery store and will be adding the cookies as decor.
This is the final product!
  Such a cool cake!
Thanks for the pic Mrs. C
